Signtronix is the biggest part of the Encore Image Group, a Torrance, California based company. Founded in the 1950s under the name Gulf Development, the company adopted the name Signtronix in the year 2000. The company serves over 500,000 customers from its 40 regional offices spread across 25 states. Signtronix, Inc. provides electric outdoor and indoor signs, channel letters and more to its primary customer base of small, individual owned businesses.
Signtronix sign company is a member of the International Sign Association (ISA) which is the largest worldwide organization for the sign industry. Kozy Boren was chairman of the ISA board of directors and in 2007 was awarded their highest honor with the Kirk L. Brimley Distinguished Service Award. The ISA gives the award annually to an ISA member who demonstrated outstanding dedication and service to the association and the sign industry, and has made significant and substantial contributions to the sign industry over an extended period of time.
Signtronix has also been very involved with the SBA (Small Business Administration) helping them develop education materials and a website to educate small business owners on signage. The company developed the video called "Speech of the Street" which has been shown to thousands of small business owners and educates then on the value of signage for their business.
In addition, Signtronix has also been a member of CSA (California Sign Association) and NESA (National Electric Sign Association) and a member of the Signage Foundation.
