When Jeff Dean was introduced to a Signtronix sign, he made an error. He didn't buy it for his Colorado business. Jeff later closed the business and went into sales. He was a natural.
Unfortunately, he said, companies he worked for set upper limits on the amount of money he could make. That kept him looking for a better way.
Then in mid-1998 he answered Brian Kornuth's ad in Denver, joining the Cougars just as the Cougar team was "kicking in". Brian's sales force was in a building mode, and Jeff because an important part of the momentum.
When he was promoted to District Manager a year later, he began a systematic program to build his own team. It took a year, but by the end of 2000, his district was in fourth place and he repeated as No. 4 in 2001.
In 2002, Jeff made it to the top. He was honored as Champion District Manager based on contracts, and he was No. 2 based on volume. |
